Parish Council meetings – virtual attendance

Replacement multi-play for the play park

A replacement multi-play will be installed in the first week of February in the play area. The play area will therefore be closed for a couple of days whilst the new equipment is being installed.

Casual vacancy

Loxley Parish Council will have a casual vacancy arising at the end of this year and are looking ahead to ensure a smooth succession. We are therefore seeking to identify interested candidates now with a view to recruiting a replacement Councillor to take up the position at the start of 2021. Strawberry Fayre cancelled for 2020

Unfortunately due to the on-going Covid-19 restrictions and requirement for social distancing to be maintained we have had to cancel this year’s Strawberry Fayre. However, we are already looking forward to 2021 and look forward to seeing you then.

Covid-19 – Hastings House Prescription Delivery Service

Wellesbourne Community Helpline are running a scheme to deliver prescriptions from Hastings House Surgery for residents with no one else to collect their prescriptions. If you know of any vulnerable persons that might benefit from this service contact Glynn Jones on 07714 561 463.

How does the system work?
Step 1. Patients – order their prescriptions as normal via the Dispensary (either on-line or call 01789 840 247) by Tuesday for Friday delivery.
Step 2. Patients – then request delivery via Wellesbourne Community Helpline (07766 413 519) by Wednesday for Friday delivery.
Step 3. Delivery by local volunteer will made that same Friday to your door (maintaining social distance). If you are unable to take receipt prescriptions will be returned to the Surgery.

Referendum on Loxley NDP

LPC are pleased to announce that on 27 February 2020, there will be a referendum on the Loxley NDP. All registered voters are eligible to vote.  You will receive a poll card confirming your polling station This will be Loxley School which will be open to vote from 7am to 10pm. If you have a postal vote already, you will receive a poll card confirming this. Further details on the referendum are detailed in the booklet on the NDP page of this site or alternatively view at www.stratford.gov.uk/loxleynp.  The vote will be a simple yes/no.

Loxley Parish Council meeting

The Parish Council meeting has now been re-arranged for Tuesday 26th November and will be held at the school and will discuss setting next years precept.

Loxley NDP Consultation – Regulation 16

In accordance with Regulation 16 of Part 5 of the Neighbourhood Development Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), SDC must publicise the draft plan for a minimum 6 week period inviting representations on the plan. A copy of the Draft Plan and associated documentation can be viewed on the SDC website at www.stratford.gov.uk/loxleynp or at SDCs Elizabeth House offices and Stratford library during normal opening hours. A copy can also be viewed at Loxley CE Primary School (Monday to Friday 8.45am to 3.45pm). The consultation starts on Thursday 27th June 2019. Representations on the draft Plan may be made to SDC by no later than Friday 9th August 2019. You are encouraged to submit representations electronically. This can be done either by using the on-line form at www.stratford.gov.uk/loxleynp or by attaching a form to an email and sending to planning.policy@stratford-dc.gov.uk. You can also post your response to SDC, Planning Policy Section, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HX.

LPC December meeting cancelled

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Parish Council has cancelled the forthcoming meeting on the 10th December 2018, but will be convening a meeting as planned on the 15th January.

Environment

The Parish Council established an Environment Working Group (EWG), following the significant interest expressed in the 2016 Household Survey. The Group advises LPC on a range of environmental issues including recent improvements to local field footpaths. We are currently looking for new members and a new Chair. If you are interested in getting involved with this group please contact one of your local Parish Councillors.
