Environment

The Parish Council established an Environment Working Group (EWG), following the significant interest expressed in the 2016 Household Survey. The Group advises LPC on a range of environmental issues including recent improvements to local field footpaths. We are currently looking for new members and a new Chair. If you are interested in getting involved with this group please contact one of your local Parish Councillors.

Loxley Traffic Issues Group (TIGS)

The Parish Council have created an ad-hoc Working Group on Traffic Issues (TIGs) to meet periodically and advise the Parish Council on issues and potential solutions to a range of traffic issues facing the community – from signage, to traffic speed, parking and heavy goods vehicles.  For further information or if you would to get involved please contact one of your local Parish Councillors.

Did you know that : clearing footpaths, cutting back overgrown hedges, repairing potholes in the pavement etc can be carried out under the Lengthsman scheme (which runs to December 2017). Loxley Neighbourhood Development Plan

The Parish Council and the community put together a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) Working Group for Loxley.   The resident led Working Group was tasked by the Parish Council to produce a NDP for Loxley in accordance with government guidelines.

Minutes of meetings and the results from the Household Survey can be downloaded from the list below. An initial draft Plan followed on from the consultation period (which ran from May 16th to 5th July 2018).

Comments have been considered and a revised draft prepared and can be downloaded below (Consultation draft – October 2018). In addition, full supporting appendices have been prepared, including :

  • The consultation programme
  • Details of pre-plan consultations, including questionnaires, open days and responses (Appendix 1)
  • Summary of Consultation on Pre-Submission Loxley NDP (Appendix 2), which details responses to consultees and statutory stakeholders.

A further consultation period will now be held on the revised plan which will formally run from 15th November 2018 to 10th January 2019, inviting comments on those specific aspects of the Plan that have been amended. Sand Bags and Sacks

In the event of flooding in the village, the Parish Council has access to a limited number of sand bags and sacks. If your house is liable to flooding please contact the Parish Council and we can supply you with the sacks (unfortunately we do not provide the sand).
