Inspited by the Titfield Thunderbolt (or at least I was!) around 40 residents turned up to discuss the future of the Fox Inn following the announcement of its sale by Enterprise Inns. The discussion led by the Parish Council detailed the implications of the pub’s listing as an Asset of Community Value (ACV), timescales and key issues (viability, funding, ownership and organisation models). This initial meeting to gauge interest identified a significant number of volunteers, relevant skills and expertise within the community plus some funding pledges.
